Hope you don’t mind Peter…

…but your work is awesome.  There is a lot of paper art in this world, but Peter’s is very simple and awesome.  I’m not going to lie, I want to buy some.  I don’t know how he does some of them, but this guy has a lot of time on his hands and he is good.  I tell you what, having one of these framed in your house would be pretty sweet, and you know it.  Thanks for the art Peter, it’s great.

Issues with “the z”

May 23, 2009   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  1 Comment

“the z,” also known as my z28 Camaro, was giving me issues, acoustically. Allow me to go on…

The 2 paper cone speaker/woofer/tweeter combo  that are located in the door dry rotted a while back. So I decided to replace them.  But NO, GM doesn’t do things simple.  This camaro has a monsoon system, and the door speakers are a 2 ohm/4 ohm speaker/woofer connection.  Unfortunately, they do not make after market speakers like this, so I had two options.  1. get a new (better) system.  However, GM has a shallow dash and I would have to do some cutting or extending.  2. buy factory paper cones ($180.00 ea)

Now I have to hand it to crutchfield.  They customer service was awesome!  They did talk me out of buying a new system, but they know what they are talking about over there.  If you need any car audio equipment, and you don’t use crutchfield, you have failed.

That’s my fun this week.  Check out my new RESUME.

This Music is Great

May 19, 2009   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  No Comments

I was search some other blogs, and I found a music box that linked me to this page.  Audio Tool.  There is quite a few things you can do with this.  Almost to much, and it gets a little confusing. But if you are good with music, or a MC in your past time, then this is the website for you.

Watch More TV, Please.

May 13, 2009   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  No Comments

You all have seen the commercials for hulu.com?  Well, thats all fine and dandy, but a great website that I love to use is Surf The Channel. They have pretty much everything. This TV/Movie watching site has only been around for a little longer than a year.  I find that they usually update a new airing of a TV within about 3 hours. Watching shows on your computer, then Surf The Channel is great. However, if you are use to that clear picture or want to watch TV shows through your comp on your TV, then you better keep with hulu.  Wonderfulness.

Busyness?

May 4, 2009   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  1 Comment

Monday morning, 8:24 a.m. It was a hot dewy morning in hills of Clermont…

Today is great.  It’s Monday, and I’m busy.  I am however, reading “Alas, Babylon.”  It is a book written in the 50′s about what would happen to Florida if a H-bomb attacked us.  On a more lighter note, on the designer side of things…because I’m a designer, sometimes I need a little inspiration.  There are a lot of good websites online about design and uniqueness, etc. And eventually, I will probably hit them all.  Number 1 however is CSS Remix.  It is a website with other great design websites piled into one.  Go browse all the good stuff out there.  When you get stuck on a project, check their website out.  Remember, a smart man once said, “All ideas come from altered previous ideas.”

Tea Please

May 1, 2009   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  1 Comment

Seems like tea is becoming the new coffee; especially in the graphic design realm.  And you know what, good for tea. I can’t say its healthier, or better, or smoother, or etc.  But it is better, smoother, and probably more healthy than coffee.  Now here is the things.  There is a website called Adagio.  You need to check them out.  In addition, if you comment on this post and add your email address I’ll send you a $5.00 coupon.  I know you’re like, what does he get, I’ll tell you, after about 10-20 people use the coupon I send them, I will then receive a $5.00 coupon I think.  Honestly, I don’t know, but I can tell you that their tea is cheaper than most online tea companies, and they are fantastic.  The $5.00 isn’t that important to me, but the tea is great. My favorites are  the rooibos earl grey and the Aquarius (The Zodiac Series).

Cheers,

P.S.  They will send you a free sampler tin with your first order I believe. They did for me.
